We are thrilled to announce that ABC Removals & Storage has been presented a Super Elite Honours Award by the National Guild of Removers in a ceremony at the Mecure Hotel in St Albans on Wednesday 23rd May 2018. The award was part of a nationwide quality program run by the National Guild of Removers and overseen by the Removals Industry Ombudsman Scheme.

Our owner David said on receiving the award, “We are very much a family firm offering a personal tailored service and employ loyal long serving removal crews. We remain committed to providing an exceptional removal service”.
“I employ full time staff that are fully trained and uniformed. My leading removal crew members have been with me for many years and as they deserve recognition for outstanding service on the front line I thought it would be fitting to acknowledge their contribution towards achieving the award”.
ABC joined the National Guild of Removers in October 2005. We have helped lead the way when it comes to consumer protection and quality monitoring procedures in the removals industry for more than 25 years and have played our part in helping the National Guild of Removers to raise industry standards.
“Not a Single Complaint”
Tony Kaye, the Removals Industry Ombudsman said, “During the 13 years that ABC have been members of The National Guild Of Removers and The Removals Industry Ombudsman Scheme we have not received a single complaint about their removal service which is testimony to the level of service they provide which has led to this Award.”
He argued that the removals industry should be better regulated, stating, “It’s a serious failing that the removals industry is not governed by law. Anyone can set up a removal business without training, qualifications or goods in transit insurance and that leads to disasters. However the moving public do have a real safeguard as Guild Members must pass inspections by a Removals Industry Ombudsman accredited inspector, be subject to quality monitoring of their service levels and also be a member of The Removals Industry Ombudsman Scheme.”
The award is the first of its kind in the UK. Jon Martin, Secretary for the National Guild of Removers said, “This is the first year of The Elite Awards which will be an annual event. We hope they will help raise and maintain standards throughout the removals industry”.
